The next installment to the Mate line of flagship from the China-based mobile manufacturer, Huawei, dubbed as Huawei Mate 9, is now starting to look pretty good. Based on the recently spotted leaks, many might presume that this new smartphone can stand out in the high-end smartphone market — possibly alongside Apple's iPhone 7 and Samsung's recently launched Galaxy Note 7.
The newly leaked specification details of the Huawei Mate 9 were spotted doing the rounds on the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo.
According to the translation on Xiaomi Today, the Mate 9 is being expected to carry a dual-camera setup on its back, pretty much similar to the setup of Apple's upcoming handset, the iPhone 7. However, it seems like there might be some differences in the lenses that will be used in the Huawei-made phone.
While the feature set of the Mate 9 includes optical image stabilization (OIS) like the one that can be found in the iPhone 7, tech analysts believe that the former will differ quite significantly from the latter. Gizmo China reported that one of the lenses of the Mate 9 will focus on taking colored photographs, while the supporting lens will be responsible for taking monochrome shots.
As for who will manufacture these lenses, the leak pointed out that Leica, Huawei's partner in camera technology, will be responsible in the production of the lenses.
